Bold Flavors, Second Floor, Zero Apologies

Warwick's go-to Mexican cantina serving serious food and even better margaritas above Main Street.

About Us

Climb the stairs at 17 Main Street and you land somewhere that feels earned. Bone Yard Cantina sits above the bustle of downtown Warwick, NY, and that second-floor perch gives it a personality all its own: a little hidden, a little loud, and completely worth the trip. Regulars with 603 reviews and a 4.5-star average don't lie.

The kitchen leans hard into bold Mexican flavors, the kind that hit with smoke, acid, and heat in the right order. From the pesto chicken crepes that surprised first-timers to the bar program built around cold Victorias and craft lattes, the menu moves in directions you don't expect from a cantina, and that's the point. Server Kim has become something of a local legend here, the kind of staff member who remembers your order before you sit down and makes a Tuesday lunch feel like a reservation you planned a month ago.

Warwick is a Hudson Valley town that draws weekend visitors from the city and loyal locals who eat out weekly. Bone Yard feeds both crowds without pandering to either. Come for the food, stay for the second round.

What We Offer

The menu at Bone Yard Cantina covers the full arc of a great meal. Starters arrive fast and unapologetically seasoned. Tacos, enchiladas, and cantina plates anchor the main course lineup, built around fresh ingredients and sauces made with actual intention.

The bar program is a genuine draw: house margaritas, cold Mexican lagers, and a coffee menu that holds its own against any dedicated cafe in the county. Lunch service is a particular sweet spot, with portions generous enough that guests report driving extra miles specifically for the midday meal.

Private dining and group seating options make the second-floor layout work in your favor for birthdays, work lunches, and celebratory dinners. The space has character without being precious about it. Reservations are recommended on weekends when downtown Warwick fills up, but walk-ins are always welcome when there's room.

"Blatant exclusion and unprofessional management. My experience here was deeply upsetting from start to finish. The moment my mother and I walked in, we were left waiting for a significant amount of time just to be seated. While the decor is nice, the drinks were mediocre at best and the food was a major disappointment; my chorizo tacos arrived cold because our waiter was constantly being pulled away from our table by the manager. The most offensive part of the night was the behavior of the manager (an older white woman with blonde hair). She went from table to table, warmly greeting every single patron and even hugging some. She even went out of her way to spend time chatting with a couple at the bar. Despite making direct eye contact with me several times, she pointedly and intentionally bypassed our table every single time. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant she refused to acknowledge. This wasn't a matter of being "busy"—she had plenty of time to socialize with everyone else. It was a deliberate choice to make us feel unwelcome. I have never been to an establishment where I have felt so racially targeted and invisible. To be looked in the face and then ignored while everyone else is treated like family felt blatantly discriminatory. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with basic human decency and equality."

"My friend and I had lunch here. The Victoria and the Pesto Chicken crepes were delicious and filling. Their latte was tasty too. We were glad we drove extra miles to this place for lunch on our way home. I would like to try their other place, Bone Yard Cantina, next time I visit this area."

"Kim at Boneyard Cantina is hands down the best server ever. Every time we come in, she remembers our orders, checks in at just the right times, and somehow manages to make the whole experience feel personal and fun. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. Service like that is rare, and it’s the reason we always look forward to coming back. If you’re lucky enough to have Kim as your server, you’re in the best hands!"

"Been here three times in two weeks. The food, service, and decor are wonderful. In my opinion, the best restaurant I’ve been to in months! Is a scratch kitchen where everything is fresh. I’ve tried the birria burrito, al pastor tacos, and now shrimp tacos. Each dish has been excellent. Staff has been great and they remembered our drinks after a single visit. Note - it’s on the second floor and there are stairs only. The walk is worth it though."

"First time here & the decor & atmosphere were welcoming. Music was good & not loud to the point a conversation couldn’t be held. I liked the overall vibe coming from the entire place. Food was very good. Fresh Chips & Salsa are given to every table. We enjoyed chicken fajitas, fish & shrimp tacos & a few drinks. Overall, the food was very good & I would like to come back for brunch! Two minor things: one, not enough wait staff working. I’m sure it’s not that way most nights. Two, there’s only 1 bathroom in the entire restaurant - FYI."
